Dubai, United Arab Emirates: AGMC, the official importer of BMW Group vehicles for Dubai, Sharjah, and the Northern Emirates, is delighted to announce that they will once again be the Official Car Partner of the 2021 OMEGA Dubai Desert Classic, Dubai’s most renowned golf tournament.
BMW has a long proud golf history and is ideally positioned to support the sport’s greatest championships. With this in mind, BMW AGMC’s involvement in this year’s tournament will ultimately continue to strengthen the premium car manufacturers’ worldwide commitment to golf.
Taking place from the 28th to the 31st of January at the Emirates Golf Club, the OMEGA Dubai Desert Classic is the European Tour’s longest-running event held outside of Europe and remains a must-play tournament for the game’s most high-profile players, boasting one of the strongest golf fields worldwide.
BMW AGMC will be providing a total of 60 BMW 7 series with chauffeurs as shuttle cars to service the players and will have the all-new BMW 1 Series on display throughout the event, alongside the BMW X4M, BMW 5 Series, and the BMW 4 Series Coupé.
This year’s tournament purse equates to an astonishing $3,250,000, however, to stir up the excitement, even more, the dealership will also be providing a BMW M850i Convertible Carbon Edition as the Hole in One Prize.
The sponsorship not only reinforces BMW’s involvement in international competitive golf but reinstates BMW AGMC’s strong ties with sporting achievements and successes.
BMW AGMC will also have two of its own teams, comprising of BMW customers, participating in the Pro-Am tournaments. On the 26th of January, a total of 26 teams will be battling it out on the greens each made up of one pro and three amateurs.
On 23rd January, the dealership ran a competition for golf enthusiasts across the UAE, giving three lucky participants the chance to win exclusive tickets to BMW AGMC’s Partner VIP Hospitality area at the OMEGA Dubai Desert Classic. Consumers fought to win this fantastic prize by hitting the longest drive, closest to the pin on e-Golf simulators at the newly opened BMW AGMC Motor City Showroom.
