Lightweight construction for maximum dynamics.

The carbon-fibre roof on the BMW M6 Coupé.

The M6 Coupé roof consists of several layers of carbon (CFRP). As a high-tech lightweight construction element it emphasizes the unique elegance of this gran turismo Coupé. What is more, the highly compressed carbon is significantly lighter than conventional steel. Use of a lighter roof lowers the centre of gravity in the M6 and increases driving dynamics. The benefits for the driver are higher speeds in curves and extremely precise roadholding.
