| The debut of the highly anticipated new BMW 5 Series marked the epitome of aesthetic design and supreme driving pleasure in the automotive world in 2010. With its sporting and elegant design, excellent comfort, and the highest standard of efficiency in its class, the sixth generation of this immensely successful executive saloon continued the success story. | As the BMW X5 powers into a new decade, a new chapter in the evolution of the world’s most popular Sports Activity Vehicle has begun. The 2011 BMW X5 incorporates new innovative design elements and powertrains, the result of over 4,000 new parts being incorporated into the vehicle. Selective design modifications to the front and rear of the vehicle clearly express enhanced sporting characteristics. All versions of the new BMW X5 are also equipped with an 8-speed automatic transmission as standard offering optimised effectiveness and the highest degree of comfort. | Road safety is a vitally important issue, especially in the GCC: This is where AGMC comes into play. Supported by BMW Group Middle East they hosted an Awareness Day at the Dubai Creek Park in April to increase awareness about the use of seat belts and child safety restraints. The initiative has continued even during the Holy Month of Ramadan and entered the next level in September: During a four-day road safety event a police officer and event organizers patrolled the streets in a BMW Gran Turismo model in search of a good driver – one who respects the traffic regulations and demonstrates safe driving habits, particular the use of seat-belts and child seat restraints. AGMC has opened the first phase of an AED 80 million expansion of its flagship showroom on Sheikh Zayed Road. The expansion doubles the capacity and supports growth of all BMW Group brands.
